The hotel during our stay in Cambodia/Siem Reap was the Laysung Angkor Boutique Hotel .
The Laysung Angkor Boutique Hotel is located in Siem Reap, in a quiet side street about two kilometres away from the center. You can either walk, which is not recommandable or take one of the free provided tuk-tuks from the hotel. I think this is a great additional service and the hotel stuff even gives you a mobile phone, so you can call them, tell them when you want to be picked up again and they arrange your return to the hotel.
The hotel is arranged L-shaped around a nice pool area. It is a small boutique hotel and has 13 rooms only. Everything is tastefully arranged with a lot of plants. The room categories are: deluxe double pool view, deluxe twin pool view, deluxe family pool view, laysung suite pool view and deluxe triple pool view.
We had a deluxe double pool view. It was not exactly my taste, with the green silk cushions but well conceived and tenderly furnished. The room was clean, very big and we had a lot of space. The bathroom was provided with a bathtub also and we had a nice balkony with pool view. We definetly felt totally comfortable in our deluxe double pool view.
Breakfast was included during our stay at Laysung Angkor Boutique Hotel. You can choose between different continental breakfasts and coffee is provided. It was unexciting but fine. We only had dinner in the hotel once. Because we have already eaten so many Thai and Khmer food we were craving for a burger. The burgers were really good and cheap also. I am sure that the other menus are good as well.
The Laysung Agkor Boutique Hotel has its own pool area and spa. Transportation to the city is provided for free when you need it. Transportation to the airport is also provided for free. Unfortunately we did not have time for the spa, but enjoyed the pool every day. There is also the possibility to rent bikes for free.
Summed up we loved the Laysung Agkor Boutique Hotel. The stuff was eagered to please, so much I have never seen before. For example: Our flight was in the evening and we had to check out until noon. But we could stay at the pool the whole afternoon and even have a shower in one of the free hotel rooms before our flight. I would defintely recommend the Laysung Agkor Boutique Hotel, it’s a great choice while staying in Siem Reap.
